DFG Schedules Public Salmon Meeting

The California Department of Fish and Game (DFG) invites interested members of the public to attend the 2006 Salmon Fishery Informational meeting scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 21 in Santa Rosa. The meeting will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Sonoma County Water Agency located at 404 Aviation Blvd.

The meeting will focus on the status of ocean salmon populations and the outlook for ocean and river fisheries in the coming year. The public will be encouraged during the afternoon session to provide input on fishing options for the 2006 ocean and river chinook salmon fisheries. Attendees may register at the meeting for notification of future informational meetings. Pre-registration is not required to attend this meeting.
